Exactly 1 year ago I've released my debut album "when youngness.. flies away.." after almost 9 years of songwriting...now it seems that has passed so much time from this release but it's only one year..it feels really strange; even because in a year I've released in total 3 albums. Re-listening these 10 songs make me realize how far I'm now from them and how the Hitwood project has grown. Maybe some of you that discover Hitwood music with our last release didn't know the old stuff yet, so I encourage you to listen how my music was intended to sound from the begin. For this purpose I've released "CELEBRATION 2007-2017", a compilation featuring the best song composed in the first 10 years of Hitwood to celebrate this first decade and to give you the possibility to discover these old songs.

I want to share with you also a thing that you don't about the artwork. In the beginning, the artwork of "When youngness.. Flies Away.." was shot in 2013 in a forest in italy called "foresta dei violini" a really magic place surrounded by the woods that in the future would be transformed in fine quality musical instruments and could express forever in music notes; and this concept represents how I intend my music: take a moment, transform into music so this moment could exist forever, but in a different form. I really like that version of the cover but one year later it was replaced by the one you know captured in Netherlands; I think the black and blue atmosphere would represents better the sound of the album so I've choose the last one. Now I've dusted the old version of debut album cover for this compilation.

I really want you to listen some of my old songs like "for the rest of your life", "give me a reason why I shouldn't lose myself in a dream" or "un applauso per la vita" and get lost into them. These songs are really significant to me because was written in particular moments of my life and I hope you give the right feeling when you will listen to.
